Preparing meals is now a pleasant experience January 11, 2011

My daughter used to always act up while I was in the kitchen preparing meals.  That is no longer a problem since we purchased the kitchen helper by Guidecraft.  She easily climbs up and “gets to work” alongside me.  If I’m really in a rush and just don’t have the time for “my helper” to “help me”, she is perfectly content playing with her playdough and looking over from time to time to see what I’m doing.  Or sometimes she washes the dishes in the sink – I believe kids feel really important when they are helping you which really helps their self-esteem, just be sure there are no knives or other sharp objects in the sink.  

I was torn between the guidecraft kitchen helper and the learning tower but went with Guidecraft because the kitchen helper folds up very easily when you are done using it.  Though we rarely put it away since we use it all the time.
